FAQ

What is a virtual dietitian?

What is the MRT Test and LEAP Diet Protocol?

Do you take insurance?

I do accept a few insurances. I am happy to bill your insurance company for out of network benefits. The MRT Test is not covered by insurance companies.

Can I set up a payment plan?

Yes! I never want finances to be the reason a person can’t get the nutrition help they need. I require monthly installments but allow my clients to set their payments at an amount that fits their budget.

Is the MRT Test like an allergy test?

The MRT test is not an allergy test. The MRT test assesses mediator responses and looks at inflammation, not allergic response. An allergy response and an inflammatory response are two separate responses in the body. I am happy to explain this in great detail if you have any more questions. You can learn all the fine details about the MRT test here.

I had IgG testing done, is that the same as MRT?

IgG testing is not the same as MRT--not even close! IgG is one of the mediators that the MRT test looks for but the MRT test is much more accurate and thorough because it looks at all mediators instead of just one (IgG). You can read more about the concerns and inaccuracies of IgG testing here.

How do I get my blood drawn?

You can go to a local lab to have your blood drawn or have a mobile phlebotomist come to your home. Courtney will provide you with specific options for you during your initial session.

Where are you located?

Currently I live in the Jackson, MS area. I have lived in several states and maintain all my state licenses in NY, AL, and TN. Since I am licensed in these states and comply with all telehealth regulations, I am able to provide nutrition counseling services to clients living in those states in addition to MS. That is why I advertise multiple state locations for my practice.
